On the day that Magic center Dwight Howard was named the league's Eastern Conference Player of The Week, J.J. Redick decided to steal the show in the fourth quarter in order secure an Orlando win over the Jazz by a score of 104-99. The Magic avenged their previous defeat at the hands of the Jazz in Utah by riding a red-hot Redick, who scored 11 of his 20 points in the final frame.

The Jazz, who dropped to 16-12 with the loss, were led by Paul Millsap's 20 point performance, but the inefficient shooting of Deron Williams (6-16 for 18 points) and Carlos Boozer (7-16 for 17 points) was their eventual demise, as they were out-rebounded, out-shot, and had 9 of their shots blocked away by the Magic.
Orlando got a spark from the return of Jameer Nelson who played limited minutes for the first time after suffering a knee injury four weeks ago against the Charlotte Bobcats. But, they had to rely on the steady veteran Anthony Johnson down the stretch because Nelson was on a pitch-count and starting point guard Jason Williams was ejected from the game by official Sean Corbin for objecting to a call. Thankfully for the Magic, they rode the hot hand of Redick and the broad shoulders of their all-world center Dwight Howard, who compiled 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks despite battling early foul trouble.
The Magic's record now stands at 21-7, and they will face the Houston Rockets at home on Wednesday, where Tracy McGrady will make his return to Orlando and attempt to help the Rockets win their eighth straight game at the Amway Arena.
