The second-overall pick of this year's draft will be sidelined for a long time after just his 7th career game. Hasheem Thabeet, the underperforming center from UConn, suffered a broken jaw in the first quarter on Tuesday night against the Trail Blazers. He was struck in the jaw by teammate Zach Randolph's head, and he left the game immediately.

Last season, Oklahoma City Thunder forward D.J. White missed six months after recovering from jaw surgery. It is unclear at this time how long Thabeet will miss.
He had scored just four points, grabbed only eleven rebounds and recorded six blocks in his previous six games played.
