Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace was chosen today by the NBA as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending November 29.

Wallace averaged 25.3 points, 13.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.0 block and shot .543 from the field, .385 from beyond the arc, and .808 from the free-throw line, helping the Bobcats defeat Toronto, Cleveland, and Washington for a perfect 3-0 week. This is Wallace's fifth time receiving the award, following his player of the Week awards for weeks ending November 28, 2005, March 25, 2007, April 8, 2007 and January 20, 2008.

Wallace also brought in a season high 31 points and 13 rebounds in the Wednesday 116-81 win over Toronto, and 31 points and 14 rebounds in the Friday 94-87 victory over Cleveland, making him the first Bobcats player ever to record consecutive games of at least 30 points and at least 10 rebounds.

Wallace is currently averaging 15.9 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.3 assists and .7 blocks in 40.6 minutes per game, leading the NBA in minutes played, ranking third in rebounding and 11th in steals.
